lomography is a trend in photography that has orginated by the use of old soviet spy cameras, Lomos. These cameras produce a photo that has slight over contrast and edge feather. they are a unique style of "shoot from the hip" photography where looking through the viewfinder is not essential. unique usage of coloured flash in daylight produces an effect of vibrant colour that apears to be digitally altered.

the cult following of lomography has spun some creative work with developing as well. these cameras using (35mm) slide film are regularly cross developed creating an eary colour sceme that throws simple digital sepia out the window to fall very very far away from really cool.

the exciting thing about lomography is it's blind out of the box fotos that even the photographer him/herself has little idea of the colouring of the foto until it is in print.
